Frequently Asked Questions
🌿 Frequently Asked Questions
1. What can I expect in our first session?
Our first session is about getting to know you — your story, what brings you in, and what you’d like to work on. We’ll move at your pace, and you never have to share anything before you’re ready.
2. Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes! All sessions are held virtually so you can connect from the comfort of your home. Many clients find this helps them feel more relaxed and open.
3. What issues do you specialize in?
I specialize in working with women who experience high-functioning anxiety, chronic stress, and burnout. I also support clients navigating ADHD, depression, people-pleasing patterns, and chronic illness — all through the lens of nervous system regulation and mind-body healing.
4. How is therapy with you different?
My approach blends traditional talk therapy with somatic (body-based) and nervous system regulation practices. We go beyond symptom management to help you understand what your body is trying to tell you — so healing feels embodied, not just intellectual.
5. How long will therapy take?
There’s no one-size-fits-all timeline. Some clients feel meaningful shifts within a few months; others prefer longer-term support. Healing happens in layers — and we’ll move at the pace that feels right for you.
6. What’s the difference between therapy and coaching?
Therapy focuses on emotional healing, trauma, and mental health support.
Coaching is more forward-focused — helping you regulate your nervous system, set boundaries, and create sustainable change.
If you’re unsure which is right for you, I can help you decide during a free consultation.
7. Do you take insurance?
I’m an out-of-network provider, which means payment is due at the time of service. Some clients choose to use their out-of-network benefits for reimbursement — I’m happy to provide a superbill upon request.
8. How do I know if we’re a good fit?
Therapy is deeply personal — and the right fit matters. If you value a holistic, compassionate, and body-centered approach, we’ll likely work well together. You can also schedule a 15-minute consultation to see how it feels before committing.
9. What’s your cancellation policy?
I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session. This helps me hold space for others on the waitlist.
10. I’ve tried therapy before and it didn’t help — how will this be different?
That’s a valid concern. Many of my clients have been in therapy before but never felt truly seen in their anxiety or understood in how it lives in their body. Our work focuses on nervous system healing — not just talking about your stress, but actually shifting how your body experiences it.
